LeBron James weighs in on Game 1 of the 2018 Eastern Conference Finals after he and the Cleveland Cavaliers were outclassed by the Boston Celtics.

Game 1 of the series went to the Boston Celtics as they blew past the Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 108-83. In a losing effort, the Cavaliers’ superstar LeBron James was only able to muster 15 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists in 36 minutes of play. His point total was only out matched by 2 points by his teammate, Kevin Love, who had 17 points on the night, most out of any Cavalier in game 1.

In his press conference, LeBron James commends the Boston Celtics and head coach Brad Stevens for their efforts on the night. He vividly recalls the most detailed elements and moments of the game in only a way that a superstar can. LeBron James also addressed the tactical advantage the Celtics had in the game, thanks to the coaching of Brad Stevens. James had no problem explaining to the reporters that the Celtics were able to make him and the Cavaliers uncomfortable and unbalanced every time they had the ball on the offensive side of the court. LeBron James was able to provide some insight into their planning for game two and that he feels confidant that he will have a much better game.

If at the beginning of the season one predicted the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics would meet in the Eastern Conference Finals, they wouldn’t be out of their mind. However, nobody would have thought this when their two best players, Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward went down with season-ending injuries. It’s amazing to see what the Boston Celtics have been able to do without their superstars in the lineup during the biggest games and moments of the season. It’ll be interesting to see if they can keep up this rate of play further into the series.
