FV Preview: College Football Top 3 games to watch in Week 4
With week 4 of the college football schedule already upon us here are 3 of the most intriguing matchups to keep your eyes on this Saturday.
#16 TCU @ #6 Oklahoma State – Saturday, 2:30pm(CT) on ESPN
This matchup is one of two games this weekend that will have two top 25 teams squaring off. It will include one of the best offenses in the nation in OKST and star QB Mason Rudolph. While TCU will be caring the entire state of Texas on it’s shoulders as they are the only program left in the state to be ranked in the top 25.
#5 USC @ California – Saturday, 2:30pm(CT) on ABC
After squeaking out a victory in double OT at home against an unranked Texas team this past weekend, USC and QB Sam Darnold have a lot to live up to as scrutiny of there top 5 ranking grows across the nation. This will be USC first road game of the season and they will be playing a strong Cal team who is coming off an impressive 27-16 victory over SEC opponent Ole Miss last weekend.
#17 Mississippi State @ #11 Georgia – Saturday, 6:00pm(CT) on ESPN
This is the second of only two matchups this weekend including two top 25 ranked teams. Mississippi State coming off a huge blow out victory at home against division rival LSU last weekend looks to prove itself as a true contender in the SEC west. While Georgia will look to move itself into the top 10 in the country with a victory this saturday at home. In the battle of the SEC Bulldogs it will be a game of Nicks on the offensive side as QB Nick Fitzgerald of MSU and RB Nick Chubb of UGA will both have huge impacts on the outcome of the game.
