Damarious Randall’s Tweet Goes Viral
Browns Corner Back Damarious Randall tweeted if Cleveland wins the finals, he would buy everyone who retweets his tweet a Cavalier jersey.
Fourth year Cleveland Browns corner back Damarious Randall tweeted yesterday about the upcoming NBA Finals. Randall’s tweet was not about his take on the series or about how the Golden State Warriors are meeting the Cleveland Cavaliers to battle each other for the fourth consecutive time. His tweet was about giving away jerseys.
Randall was able to shed some light on the tweet the next day after practice. “Obviously, it was a joke,” the former Green Bay Packer said. Randall added that he was surprised that it caught as much attention as it did. “I didn’t think it would get over a hundred [retweets],” said Randall.
The tweet is currently at more than 826,000 retweets, so more than 826,000 jerseys and each jersey costing $99.99. Randall would have to pay $82,591,740 in total (so far); Randall is scheduled to make $1,090, 381 this season. This something that is definitely not feasible with Randall’s current income. Seeing as the Warriors are favored in this NBA Finals match-up, Randall should not have anything to worry about.
