Stephen Curry Breaks NBA Finals Record for 3-Pointers
Golden State guard Stephen Curry breaks NBA Finals three-point record with nine threes.
Stephen Curry as usual came out and made it rain from three, but tonight he made an NBA Finals record with nine three-pointers for the win against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The two-time MVP did not take his foot off the gas from his game one 29 points as he dropped 33 points, seven rebounds and eight assist in the game two blowout. One of the unreal threes Curry hit was a deep, contested three on Cleveland forward Kevin Love with less than a second left on the shot clock.
Of the 26 shots taken by Curry, 17 of them were three pointers, so Curry was not afraid to let it lose. This the only three-point record Curry holds; he also holds the record for the most three pointers in a regular season game with 13 threes.
Many reports have said that Curry needs to add a finals MVP to bolster his already illustrious resume. Right now, I think it is safe to say that he has the lead in the running for the finals MVP.
