Mason Fine and DeAndre Torrey had strong performances against Incarnate Word and are emerging as UNT’s leaders on offense. Fine has been throwing the ball efficiently and is forcing defenses to spread the field causing the running game to open up. Fine led the way with 418 yards passing and adding 4 touchdown passes. Torrey found the end zone three times on the ground.
The Mean Green need both players to step up and continue their great play with Arkansas being next on the schedule. With a hot 2-0 start a possible upset can shoot UNT into the national spotlight.
