Clemson running back Travis Etienne speak on how South Carolina is the biggest game of the year. Etienne spoke on how this week Clemson was focused on making specific adjustments from small mistakes in their win over Duke and how specifically he can improve on the ground against South Carolina’s front four.
Etienne had 9 carries for 81 yards and two touchdowns last week and how he can capitalize on creating big runs off of blitz packages and missing one-on-one tackles in open field.
Etienne talked about how his physicality and simple demeanor also helps carry him on the field picking up yards after contact. Much like many other Clemson offensive starters, Etienne focused on how in his mind this rivalry week matchup is the biggest game of the season in his eyes, but it’s been no more important than their first 11 as they play every game as it could be his last.
Etienne said that he makes every play for his teammates and talked about how he can carry that momentum on making plays for others into next weeks game.
