Ortiz and Liddell’s last fight took place in 2006. Liddell beat Ortiz by way of a third round knock-out. Ortiz is desperate to defeat Liddell, having never done so in his career. Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions finally gave Ortiz what he wanted, after Dana White refused to take on the fight. This fight could be what propels Golden Boy Promotions into a major name in the sport of mixed martial arts.
