Chris Woodward spoke to Fanatics View following the Rangers’ tough loss to the Cardinals.

In the interview, Woodward discussed Willie Calhoun’s impact on the Rangers club & his production since being promoted from Triple-A.

“He’s had really good quality at-bats ever since he’s gotten here, he’s been impressive”, Woodward told Fanatics View. “He impressed me all spring training, and he carried that over into Triple-A in Nashville, he was their best hitter by far”.

In addition, Woodward spoke on Calhoun’s ability to hit at the Major League Level.

“The quality of the takes, the swings on the fastballs and breaking balls, he seems to be on everything, that’s a good sign of a really good hitter – hopefully he just continues it”, he finished.

Willie Calhoun’s production at the Major League level is evident in each game the youngster plays in Texas. Through his first 5 games this season, Calhoun has put up an impressive slash line of .476/.476/.810.
