Deontay Wilder on Dillian Whyte and PED’s in Boxing: “It’s Sickening!”
Deontay Wilder hates the thought of taking PED’s in combat sports, especially as a heavyweight.
Deontay Wilder was unhappy with the news of Dillian Whyte failing a drug test for a banned steroid. He sees the use of PED’s in boxing as a crime, with the intention of taking a life away.
“The Bronze Bomber” assures that he will punish anyone who enters the ring with him under PED’s.
“Keep taking these drugs, none of these guys affecting me,” said Wilder. “I’ll fight them whether they on the drugs, or off the drugs. And when they on the drug, it’ll make me even more madder; because I know they on it. Now I really wanna do something.”
Wilder finds it difficult to understand why any fighter would have the intention of using banned substances. The WBC heavyweight champion took it upon himself to remind those who take PED’s where they stand among the sport as competitors.
“Any (of) y’all taking drugs that’s in a combat sport, you hear it right now from Deontay Wilder; you a punk,” said Wilder. “It’s disgusting. How can you win a match, or even win a title; and say ‘I did it, I’m the champion.’ When you know you’ve been sticking something in your ass, or you’ve been taking something orally through your mouth? And you say you did it, that ain’t no real warrior.”
