Kyle Pitts 4 Touchdowns Lead Gators Over Rebels – Florida Gators vs. Ole Miss Rebels Game Highlights
Opening game for the #5 ranked Florida Gators went swimmingly for their offensive leader and quarterback Kyle Trask. Trask racked up six total touchdowns and over 400 passing yards in a 51-35 effort over the Ole Miss Rebels in Mississippi. Four of the quarterbacks six touchdowns ended up in the hands of tight end Kyle Pitts, including a 71-yard arrow from a seam route that became available from a safety blitz that left the deep middle wide open. Pitts ended the match-up with 8 catches for 170 yards while averaging 21.2 yards per reception.
On the other side of the scoring, the Rebels’ Matt Corral managed to have himself a substantial performance by collecting 395 passing yards of his own along with three touchdowns and one interception. His favorite target, receiver Elijah Moore, managed to snag 227 of those passing yards, but failed to see the end zone on any of his ten receptions. His position mate, Dontario Drummond accounted for two of the three receiving scores and was able to get the first six points for Ole Miss by collecting a 50 yard deep ball over the middle to even the score at seven.
