Watch as Quinn Hughes reviews Vancouver’s win following return from covid-19 protocol list.
The Canucks battled in their first game back, out scoring Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2. Hughes commented on getting that returning victory.
“Guys weren’t feeling 100% but I think we got a competitive group, we really do. Just really proud of the team effort tonight. It felt good to win. It was almost like we won a playoff game a bit”, he finished.
“He played amazing”, Hughes said on goaltender Braden Holtby’s solid performance guarding the net. “He really kept us in parts of the game, made some really timely saves.”
Hughes praised the Canucks performance in hard fought win over Toronto.
“They got a really good team, that got amazing players”, Hughes said. “It feels good. We know we have a good team too. It feels good to win this one, but the next stretch, the next month is gonna be grueling. We just gotta go one step at a time here”, he finished.
Hughes also discussed him and his teammates recovering from covid-19.
“I had symptoms just like everyone else. Didn’t feel good for a couple days then you start to feel better. I think right now I’m just trying to get through the conditioning part of laying around for 10 days.”
