Teammates Amazed by Kevin Abel’s Game 3 Performance
An all-star performance from Oregon State freshman pitcher, Kevin Abel, helped push the Beavers to clinch their third NCAA title.
After pitching one inning and getting the win in Game 2, Kevin Abel was named the starting pitcher for Game 3. The true freshman was the best choice for this game. Abel pitched the entire game, only giving up two hits and striking out 10. Abel’s 129 pitch game shut out Arkansas, for the Razorbacks first shut out all season.
Abel’s teammates were thrilled with his stellar performance on such a big stage. Trevor Larnach, Cadyn Grenier and Steven Kwan all comment on Abel’s big game.
Larnach believes Abel is the best pitcher in the country and can’t wait to see what else this pitcher can do since he has many more years left. Grenier commented on Abel’s dream come true performance and how much he helped the Beavers win the National Championship. Kwan said how Abel is a great person and teammate, but watching him pitch that game was amazing.
Hearing such high remarks from some of the best college baseball players must show the true talent Abel has. Abel leaves much to look forward to for the 2019 season.
