Sandy Leon’s double causes Green Monster to scream. (Turn Sound on!)

The Green Monster has a long and storied history in Boston. Fenway Park has been a staple in New England sports for over 100 years. The Green Monster has seen every step in the deep history of the Boston Red Sox over those years. This season, the Sox are on pace for their best season in team history with 68 wins at the All-Star break.

The success of the team may have awakened some actual ghosts in the process. Despite having one of the most historic teams in baseball, there has yet to be a case of paranormal activity at Fenway. That may have changed on Sunday afternoon. In addition to being the top team in the league, the Red Sox offence is leading the way. The team has hit 215 doubles this season, while most of them have come into contact with the Monster. While thousands of baseballs have been peppered off of The Green Monster over the years, it seems that Sandy Leon’s double was the breaking point.

As Sandy Leon’s double clangs off of the wall, it is easy to hear a muffled scream coming from somewhere. The scream seems to have been picked up by a microphone inside the wall. While there is debate whether it came from someone inside the wall or the wall itself. We may never know.

Of course, it will be easy for baseball fans to assume that Some baseball spirit has possessed the Green Monster. People not so familiar with the wall may be sceptical. There are people who literally wait for generations for the chance to work inside the wall. The other scenario could be that the ball banging into the wall spooked one of the workers. That is a less likely argument but worth considering.
