Kendall Graveman Reacts to Being Traded to Houston Astros & Explains Astros Clubhouse Being Close
Graveman says Astros Clubhouse is Really Close, “It’s Pretty Special”
The Houston Astros recently traded for closer Kendall Graveman from the Seattle Mariners to bolster their bullpen, and Graveman reflects on the trade and his experience so far with the Astros clubhouse.
“These guys have welcomed me with open arms. I couldn’t believe coming over here, how good they’ve made me feel. People talk about family (3x) all of the time, but to actually see it in action when I walked into this clubhouse was pretty special.”
“Obviously the first night, I was down,” says Graveman of being traded. After the trade, he stayed in Seattle as the Mariners hosted the Astros for a 3-game series.
“The emotions of still being in Seattle and potentially facing a former team would’ve been something that I would’ve been able to compartmentalize, but at the same time, I’ve got a job to go do.”
