The second round matchup between the Michigan Wolverines and the Houston Cougars was a tooth and nail battle between two highly competitive teams. Both squads traded baskets from the opening tip to the final buzzer, but it was Michigan that came away with the 64-63 on a final buzzer-beating bomb from three-point land.

Freshman guard Jordan Poole had yet to score a single point in the second half of action, but he didn’t shy away from taking a contested shot at the buzzer to keep the Wolverines dancing in March. Despite the defense rapidly closing in on Poole as fired up a quick-release jumper from way beyond the arc, the freshman kept his composure and nailed the most crucial of his young career.

Watch as Michigan advances to the Sweet Sixteen on sensational shot by their clutch freshman.
