Four time all-star DeMarcus Cousins has joined the reigning NBA champions.

One of the most dominant big man in the game, DeMarcus Cousins, just signed a one-year, $5.3 million deal with the Golden State Warriors.

With Boogie Cousins in the starting line up, every player on the Warriors will have made an all-star apperance in the last three years. And many NBA player and fans are just surprised by this move. ESPN personality Stephan A. Smith said summed it up pretty well: “The rich keep getting richer.”

Well, how could an already dominant team acquire such a great talent under his true market vaule? According to reports, not a single NBA team made an offer to the unrestricted free agent. Everyone knows that Boogie is prone to getting techs during games and can be harmful to the locker room chemistry, but Cousins is arguably the best big man in the game. The former Pelican averages 25 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5 assist before he ruptured his Achilles tendon.

Some of the factors that lead to him not be offered is the injury that is will not allow him to see the court until January of 2019 and Boogie decisive personality. So, the four time all-star made a call to the Warriors who had just let center JaVale McGee go to the Los Angeles Lakers. It a all made sense for the Warriors and Boogie, as Cousins did not have room to negotiate because it was the only team willing to take him.

In the video, Cousins looks happy as he says “I’m a Warrior.”
