Los Angeles Laker Kyle Kuzma on coming back and win against the Mavericks

After suffering a lower back contusion, power forward Kyle Kuzma returned from injury to play against the Dallas Mavericks. Although it was not his best shooting night, the Lakers came out with a win.

Kuzma mentioned during the game his back was “a little tight,” which could have played into why he was not efficient from the floor. Point guard Lonzo Ball and small forward Brandon Ingram put up 50 of the Lakers 107 points in the win. Kuzma’s play did assist the Lakers in winning as he was a plus eight in the plus minus column.

Despite it not being his best shooting night, Kuzma is confident in his shot and believes others know to respect it even when it’s not falling.

“Everybody knows that I am a threat offensively,” he said. “Whether I am missing or making shots, you have to respect me on the floor.”

Kuzma said he knows the Lakers “responded” well this game, after being beat by 21 points by the Minnesota Timberwolves. The power forward said they came out against the Timberwolves with a “total lack of energy” and this win against Dallas was proof of the potential they have.
