The Nets moved to 2-2, while the Cavaliers continue to struggle and drop to 0-4.

Following a rough night where they lost 132-112 against the Pacers, the Nets bounced back by defeating the Cavaliers 102-86 on Wednesday night. It was the fewest points they’ve allowed on the road since February 23, 2015, when they held down the Denver Nuggets to 82 points. The victory also snapped a 10-game losing streak in Cleveland.

D’Angelo Russell finished strong with 18 points and eight assists, while Joe Harris had 16 points and six rebounds. All five of the Nets’ starters finished with double digits in points, along with Ed Davis; who came off the bench and scored 10 points. The game was tied at 45-45 by halftime. The third quarter proved to be crucial during the second-half of the game, as the Nets outscored the Cavaliers by 38-17.

It looks to be a long season for the Cavaliers without LeBron James. Apart from dropping their fourth straight game, the loss also gave the Cavaliers their lowest scoring game of the season. They had scored at least 100 points in their first three games.

Next up, the Nets look to keep the momentum going as they face off against the Pelicans in New Orleans on Friday.
