Michael Irvin and Terrell Owens War of Words
Hall of Famer Michael Irvin is “disappointed” with T.O. and T.O doesn’t care.
While at the National Fantasy Football Convention, Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin said he was “absolutely disappointed” about incoming Hall of Famer Terrell Owens decision to not be part of the enshrinement ceremony, which is an unprecedented move by any Hall of Famer.
And Owens’ reply to Irvin’s comments through a direct message on Instagram to Fanatics View was “who cares” with three laughing emojis.
Irvin went on to say “I was disappointed that we will be cheated as a Hall of Fame team from one of our teammates.”
Irvin added that so many people fought for him to get in and “then he gets in and he makes that decision. I was absolutely disappointed about it.”
The five-time all-pro wide receiver declined to appear at the enshrinement ceremony and decided for a similar type of ceremony to be held where he played college ball at: the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

This move came after Owens waited two years after eligibility to get in the NFL Hall of Fame and finally on his third chance he was given the honor that few ever get; many have made cases as to why he should have been a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
On Fox Sports’ show “Undisputed,” Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson said he personally talked to Terrell Owens and said he would have attended the enshrinement ceremony had he been a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
“If you would have been a first ballot, would you have went? ‘Yea, I would have,'” Dickerson said Owens said on a phone call.
Owens’ Hall of Fame speech will be at McKenzie Arena on Saturday August 4 at 3:17p.m. The event is open to the public and free.
