Deontay Wilder says his animosity towards Dominic Breazeale was settled and done with in the ring.

After Deontay Wilder scored a brutal knock out over Dominic Breazeale, he went over to his foe’s corner and embraced him. This came after some history of animosity between the two, and death threats coming from Wilder during the build up of the fight.

“We had so much bad blood against each other, but I did what I had to do,” said Wilder. “All the negative energy I had towards him, everything that was built up inside of me; I had an opportunity to release.”

It’s safe to say the violent knockout showed the great deal of animosity that was bottled up inside. To Wilder, boxing is important as helps him release all negativity. It is evident in the way that he seeks the finish against his opponents.

“After doing what I did, I just wanted to come over and say; man it’s over with,” said Wilder. “We got in the ring, we fought it out. It shouldn’t be no more animosity against each other. What happened in the past, we going keep it in the past. And we looking forward to a beautiful and bright future.”
