Errol Spence says Mikey Garcia fight will be a ‘one sided massacre.’
Errol Spence made his intentions towards Mikey Garcia known before they step into the ring.
Errol Spence assures that Mikey Garcia will face a harsh reality while attempting to dethrone him for his title. The fight will be Spence’s third time defending his IBF welterweight title, and he’s confident that he will remain champion.
“He (Garcia) really thinks he’s gonna take this title, and take it back to California,” said Spence. “It’s not happening. I feel like I am the best fighter in the world. I know I am the best fighter in the world, and we gonna show it come Saturday night.”
Garcia (39-0, 30KOs) hopes to capture a title in five divisions when he meets Spence (24-0, 21KOs) at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington Saturday. Garcia’s older brother and trainer, Robert Garcia, was opposed to the idea of him moving up two weight classes from lightweight for the title challenge. But Garcia had legacy on his mind in a bold and daring decision.
Spence, however, looks forward to the challenge; while also promising to make Garcia regret his decision to call him out.
“We gonna put on a great show, a great performance,” said Spence. “It will be a one-sided massacre, I promise you that. And I’m gonna punish him. He gonna wish he took his brother’s advice not to take this fight.”
