The Rebels were ranked towards the bottom in defense last season, especially in defending the run game. This season, they are looking to turn things around.

Linebacker Mohamed Sanogo was very pleased with how the team played. This was a confidence boost for the defense, defending a running offense very well. Against Texas Tech, the defense had a three front look, but if Sanogo had his way, he would play a four front look. Sanogo said, “I like four guys down playing in the box owning that football. That’s what I like.”

Only thing the Rebels are thinking out there is to “play the next play.” Ole Miss is ready to improve even more after this game and prepare for the rest of the season.
