Cleveland Browns rookie receiver Antonio Callaway car found with gun parts and ammunition.

Antonio Callaway was cited for possession of marijuana and a suspended driers license on Sunday; within in his car, police also found a gun part and ammunition, according to dash-cam footage obtained by TMZ.

The footage shows the officer asking Callaway to step out of the car after he says he can smell marijuana from the rookie’s car. After he stepped out, the officer began his search and found a back strap for a Glock handgun, bullets and marijuana under the seat. According to the dash-cam footage, the officer became nervous after the discovery of the bullets and the strap for the hand gun.

“I got real nervous when I opened it up and first thing right down by where his feet sit is the backstrap of a Glock, and then he’s got a bunch of single rounds sitting in the center console,” the Cleveland officer said.

The Browns wide receiver said that his gun is in Florida, not in Cleveland. Callaway, who allowed the officer to search his car, said that his car was recently shipped from Florida to Ohio and that others had been using his car while it was in Florida.

According to cleveland.com, he was stopped for failing to yield to oncoming traffic at 2:58 a.m. Sunday. Head coach Hue Jackson described the rookie’s situation with the police “surprising”, but added that he was “glad” it was happening now and not during the regular season.

Callaway will be playing against the New York Giants in the first preseason game for the Browns of the 2018 season.
