Shiner and Hawley squared off in the 2A Division 1 Texas State Championship. Hawley competed hard in the first half but eventually, Shiner got the best of them. Shiner cruised to a 47-12 victory. Their punishing run game, fueled by brothers Dalton and Doug Brooks, allowed them to secure their second consecutive State Championship.
