The 16-seed UMBC Retrievers made NCAA history last night as they knocked off No.1 Virginia in an unlikely upset. UMBC simply couldn’t miss from beyond the arc as they dismantled the Cavaliers trademark defense from end to end.
UMBC didn’t just beat Virginia, they blew them out by 20 points with a score of 74-54. Nobody gave the Retrievers a chance to win their first round matchup against a national powerhouse, but Virginia gave them a glimmer of hope and they ran away with it.
Watch as UMBC etches their name in College Basketball History with the game of their lives.
