The steroids era left Major League Baseball and its reputation badly tarnished. Some of the greatest power hitters ever seen were juicing in their prime and fans were left to question the legitimacy of regular season, playoff and title results.
One of the most notorious steroid users was homer hitting legend Mark McGwire. While it’s clear the 12-time all-star didn’t rely on performance enhancers his entire career, it was also obvious a man riddled with injuries in his late thirties couldn’t possible smash 70 dingers in a single season without a little help.
