Marsellos Wilder says “It Would Be a Dream” to Fight at Heavyweight
Marsellos Wilder speaks with Fanatics View on a potential move up to heavyweight later in his career.
Cruiserweight prospect Marsellos Wilder bounced back from his first professional loss with a first-round knockout over Mark Sanchez. Following his victory at the AT&T Stadium, Wilder (4-1, 3KOs) joined Fanatics View to discuss his future plans.
“Being blessed to be able to fight on all these big venues man, it just only preparing me for what god got for me in the future,” said Wilder. “And being the champion that I’ll be.”
Wilder plans to make his mark at cruiserweight, but tells Fanatics View that “it’ll be a dream” to make a move to heavyweight. At heavyweight, his older brother Deontay Wilder has reigned as the WBC champion with eight title defenses. Wilder likes the thought of joining Deontay at heavyweight, much like former heavyweight champions Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko.
“Most definitely man, with the grace of god I’m coming,” said Wilder. “I’m learning, taking it step by step. But most definitely y’all see more from me man, you know. And I’ma continue to put a good show and entertain y’all.”
