Norman Powell speaks on Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis & Delon Wright talking trash to Jamaal Magloire
Norman Powell on Luka/KP tandem: “They’re a good duo together. They play off one another. They both know the game”
Toronto Raptors guard Norman Powell gave reporters his take on the Dallas Mavericks’ new star duo and how they complement one another.
“They’re a good duo together. They play off one another. They both know the game. Luka’s really good at getting KP open with his shots when we were double-teaming him. Finding him in the three or the mid-range area.”
Powell also chimed in on his friend and Mavericks’ backup point guard, Delon Wright.
“That’s my guy,” says Powell. “Got to go to dinner with him the night before.”
Wright added 15 points off the bench for the Mavericks, and it was nothing but praise from his buddy Powell.
“He had a good game. He’s a very heady player. Crafty player. He finds himself around the ball being able to make plays for his team. Get out in transition and find an open guy. Plays the game really smart into his strength.”
Wright was caught trash-talking to former NBA player Jamaal Magloire by the Raptors bench after Magloire teased him while he was at the free-throw line.
“Big cat is always talking trash to everybody,” said Powell in regards to Magloire. “Now you have a former player, a teammate, you know he gets up a little more. It was a little fun exchange between the two.”
