Giants 1st basemen Darin Ruf reacts to Kris Bryant’s debut homer at the bay.

In his San Francisco Giants debut, Kris Bryant nailed his first home run in the 3rd inning as the Giants came back to defeat Houston 5-3. This came after former Cubs teammates Anthony Rizzo and Javy Baez hit homers in both of their club debuts.

“It’s pretty cool,” Ruf joked on Bryant’s homer in his first Giants appearance.

“We were saying that his other teammates that got traded all homered in their first games as well. So, we were gonna send him back if he didn’t homer himself. Luckily, we get to keep him, and I think he’s going to be very, very valuable to our team moving forward.”
