Victor Ortiz felt that the fight was not as close as the judges had it.

Victor Ortiz likes what he saw as the legendary Manny Pacquiao defeated Keith Thurman for the WBA (Secondary) welterweight title. However, “Vicious” tells Fanatics View that he was in disbelief upon hearing the judges scorecards in the outcome.

Two judges scored it 115-113 for Pacquiao, while the third judge had it 114-113 in favor of Thurman; resulting in a split decision victory for “The Pacman.”

“When it was over, I was like split decision?” Ortiz told Fanatics View. “I was like, were we watching the same fight bro? Cause I had this unanimous, man. But I mean I was wrong, because non-biased opinion; I had it that Manny was gonna knock him out in seven (rounds).”

Ortiz has been out of action since a majority decision draw against Devon Alexander in February 2018. He was due back in the ring against John Molina Jr. last September, but was dropped from the fight following legal issues.

Still determined, the former welterweight champion tells Fanatics View that it won’t be long before he gets back on the road to another championship title.

“You can’t take anything away from me,” said Ortiz. “But people who don’t know that, ‘oh he’s a quitter.’ The list goes on. But for those of you who don’t, I appreciate you guys. And we’ll be champions again.”
