Dodgers defeat Giants in NLDS 3-2

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the San Francisco Giants 2-1 in Game 5 to win the NLDS. Star-pitcher Max Scherzer, who pitched in Game 5, alongside all-star Mookie Betts, sat down with the media to discuss the intense series and what is next.

“Just to fight all season long, I’m just glad I got to join it in mid-season and be a part of this and be a part of the winning team,” says Scherzer. Scherzer joined the Dodgers after he and teammate Trea Turner were traded from the Washington Nationals earlier in the season.

The Dodgers will now face the NL East’s 1st place, Atlanta Braves, in the NLCS. Betts discussed the series win and what is to come with Atlanta.

“It’s just step one to our final goal. You know we can be happy right now, but I’m of the mindset that you gotta turn the page and get ready for the next series, and you can’t celebrate until you hold up that World Series trophy.”
