The Yankees mustered only 5 hits in the loss against Tampa Bay, leaving a goose egg on the score column.

“As a group we’ve struggled a little bit to catch our stride”, Boone said on offensive struggles. “It’s a matter of us collectively starting to string really good at-bats as a group. When that happens, we’ll start to take off.”

Boone continued on Yanks finding their rhythm after a lackluster start to the 2021 season.

“These guys are grinding away, these guys are working hard. It’s very early in the season and you wanna get into that routine and settle into the regular season.

Boone was also asked whether the Yankees were a better team then Tampa Bay.

“We’ll see”, Boone replied. “They’re obviously a good team, and the defending american league champions. We have expectations of being that and more this year. They’re one of the teams we have to go through. I’ll take our chances, but we got a long way to go from here”, he finished.
