In his post-game press conference, Padres 3rd basemen stud Manny Machado had a lot to say about rookie Fernando Tatis Jr.’s dominance.

“He’s learned and grown as a player. What he’s been doing is one of the best things I’ve every been a part of or ever seen. He’s a special player and he’s got a very bright future ahead of him. He’s a big part of why we’re winning these ballgames. We need him to keep doing what he’s doing, and everyone needs to keep doing what we need to do as a team. If we can do that, we’re gonna do a lot of special things.”

Behind Tatis and Machado, the Padres are starting to heat up, hitting a grand slam in each of their last three games.
