Following the controversial 3-0 grand slam by Fernando Tatis Jr., teammate Zach Davies gave his take on the matter.

“A lot of guys talk about unwritten rules in baseball. You’re in the heat of the moment and gonna try to get your pitch as a hitter, and he didn’t miss. You can’t fault him for that in my opinion, but some guys feel different – everyone has their own opinion on it. Make sure your 3-0 pitch is a little better. I’ve been down 3-0, and homers have been hit against me, maybe not in the same situation, but it’s something everyone has their own opinion on.”
