Watch as the Rangers powerful sluggers put on a show at their brand new ballpark in Arlington.

Prior to opening day, the Rangers club had a little fun as they sent 400+ ft bombs into the bleachers of Globe Life Field. In addition to the home-run derby, the team crafted a derby trophy for the winning team.

Rangers slugger Joey Gallo smacked towering moonshots into the stands in right field. Newly acquired 3rd basemen Todd Frazier also impressed, crushing balls into deep left field. Laughter and excitement filled the ballpark as Gallo launched the walk-off bomb to secure the derby win.

After all the fun, the team posed on the diamond flexing their guns, as catcher Robinson Chirinos held up the trophy with a smile. As the season begins, you can expect this powerful lineup to keep crushing balls in their new stadium.
