Jabari Parker speaks on Atlanta Hawks chemistry, loss to Toronto & Hawks’ 6 game losing streak
Jabari Parker on team chemistry: “If we play hard together, then good things happen”
Jabari Parker spoke with reporters after the Hawks’ 119-116 loss to the defending champion Toronto Raptors.
“They responded well. We gave ourselves a fight,” Parker said referring to a conversation he and his team had the night prior. “But still not enough,” he added. “We wanted to turn it over and try to get a win. We could’ve won. You know, we gave ourselves that fight. We were up 10.”
Parker also spoke about the Hawks as a young team and the chemistry they’re building.
“It’s just effort. That’ll help dictate the gelling and the cohesion. If we play hard together, then good things happen. We are talented and we need each other.”
As for their current 6-game losing streak, Parker sees some positive signs in the way the team is improving each game.
“Very encouraging because everybody kept bringing it. We just have to, you know, just bring it all together. That’s just what it’s going to take. Everybody giving that type of effort.”
