Joel Embiid on Ben Simmons Situation at 76ers Media Day: “I’m Disappointed”
Joel Embiid sat down with the media to discuss his feelings on the entire Ben Simmons trade request and hold out situation going on in Philadelphia.
“Of course, we want him back,” says Embiid when asked if the team wants Simmons to stay.
“The way I look at is that we all got to be better,” he continued. “I kinda tried to figure out ways I can be better so we can win something. I think you just got to have some self-awareness.”
Embiid then spoke on if he had gotten the chance to sit with Simmons and talk to him, what he’d say to him.
“Honestly, I would probably say I am disappointed. I’m disappointed in the fact that we’ve seen the results. We know how it is. We know how it looks. We win. We’re all winners.”
