Kyle Lowry expected to miss 4-5 weeks after wrist surgery
As per NBA.com, three-time NBA All-Star Kyle Lowry will undergo wrist surgery to remove loose bodies in his right wrist.
Lowry is currently averaging a career highs in PPG (22.8), MPG (37.7) while also shooting 41.7% from behind the arc. Days removed from acquiring Serge Ibaka and P.J. Tucker, the news comes as a huge disappointment to Raptors fans as the team looked poised to climb the ranks in the Eastern Conference postseason push.
A huge contributor to the team’s success, Lowry aims to be back in time for the playoffs. Although undefeated in both games without their starting PG, the Raptors will look to Corey Joseph to fill the void down the stretch. The Raptors are currently sit fourth in the East and look to gain ground on the Washington Wizards tonight when they take on the New York Knicks.
