Mike Malone on Nuggets Loss to Clippers: “You Can’t Show Up To A Game & Expect To Win”

The Clippers were able to handle Denver 131-11 in Los Angeles. In his post game comments, Nuggets coach Mike Malone was somewhat puzzled as to why his team didn’t continue it’s quality play.

“There’s a lot to learn,” Malone said. “You can’t just show up to a game and expect to win. We showed up like we were just going to come in here and get a win like we did opening night.”

Malone was also puzzled by the way the Clippers bigs seemed to have their way in the paint. “Eighty points is a number I’m not used to seeing on a stat sheet” Malone added.

Time will tell if the Nuggets will continue to be a top threat in the Western Conference
