Donvan Mitchell has started of his second year in NBA hot after having a stellar rookie season. Mitchell helped the Jazz defeat the Mavericks in a hard fought game by scoring 20 points and adding four assists to his stat line. The Jazz’s victory didn’t come easy though. Dennis Smith Jr, Luka Doncic and DeAndre Jordan all had stellar games, but the phenomenal play from Luka Doncic has put the league on notice. Doncic played a complete game scoring 14 points, dishing five assists and snagging six rebounds. When asked about Doncic Mitchell simply said he was impressed with him. If Doncic, Smith and Jordan can continue their strong play the Mavs will find a way over this hump once Dirk Nowitzki returns. Even though the Dallas is 2-5 at the moment they have been competitive in every game, and this shows great promise for this young team.
