Kyrie Irving sauces on the Hornets
Boston’s new big three gave NBA fans a show Wednesday night as they downed the Charlotte Hornets 108-100.
The star studded trio came together for 44 points on a productive 18-31 shooting. Aside from putting points up in a hurry, the Celtic’s Allstars breathtaking passing was on full display in their victory.
One player who set himself apart from the pack was former NBA champion Kyrie Irving.
The score first guard has come under fire in recent seasons for searching for his own shot before looking to make teammates better. While critics of his game love to bash Irving for his supposed lack of leadership and unwillingness to share the ball, Irving whipped passes to teammates and squeezed the orange into tight spots for 10 assists on the night.
Irving made short work of his 27 minutes and demonstrated how good the Celtics offense can be when he has the rock in his hands. Boston’s starting five may be laden with talent, but without depth on the bench, it’s going to be up to Kyrie to make sure everyone gets the touches they need to be successful.
