Russell Westbrook has confrontations with fans in Game 6 loss to the Jazz
No one will blame Russell Westbrook for the Oklahoma City Thunder’s disappointing first-round exit from the NBA playoffs. He only shot 42 percent on 43 shots, but with fellow superstars Paul George and Carmelo Anthony failing to step up to the plate, it was a more than necessary total to keep OKC in the game.
As you may well know, despite a 46 point double-double from Russ, the Thunder went on to lose game 6, 91-96, to the Utah Jazz. The Brodie scored more than half of the Thunder’s points, but without help down the stretch, OKC was no match for the team-oriented pass-first Jazz offense.
The loss was clearly frustrating for Westbrook, and it didn’t help that opposing fans harassed the All-Star floor general each time he headed for the locker room. On more than one occasion, fans got too up close and personal with the point guard and he let them know it.
