Watch as Trae Young speaks to media following 96-112 Hawks win against Magic.

Trae had goggles on for the game after getting elbowed in the eye by teammate Onyeka Okongwu.

“Today was my first day I actually got to wear them”, Trae told media. “Didn’t get to wear them in shoot around this morning. They didn’t get in in time. I kinda just had to go on the fly today with shooting it. Felt good as I got into a rhythm with them.”

Following a stellar game from teammate Lou Williams, Trae showed appreciation for Williams’ addition to the Hawks.

“He’s such a humbled dude. For somebody’s that so accomplished in his career, for him to be the type of guy he is, it’s fun to have him in the locker room. He’s a good dude and it’s fun learning from him. Just fun being around him. Happy he’s back here in Atlanta and we look forward to having some more fun with him.”

In addition, Trae spoke on his playstyle and not always going for the 3 shot.

“I don’t care about shooting 3’s and all the stuff. If I get open 3’s I’m gonna shoot them, but if I found gaps and lanes to attack, I’m gonna attack ’em. I don’t really play numbers, percentages, how many threes I shoot or focus on all that. I just focus on making the right play.”
