Adrien Broner breaks down how Keith Thurman fared against Manny Pacquiao compared to him.

Adrien Broner took a unanimous decision loss at the hands of Manny Pacquiao back in January. After Keith Thurman lost by split decision against the Philippine legend, Broner doesn’t think “One Time” fared any better.

“Got his ass cooked,” Broner told Fanatics View. “He promoted for this fight that he wasn’t Adrien Broner. And as you can see tonight, he’s not. Cause after we fought, I didn’t have a scratch on me.”

Thurman’s face was indeed bruised compared to Broner’s against Pacquiao. “The Pacman” landed 195 out of 686 (28%) total punches on Thurman, while landing 112 of 568 (20%) punches on Broner.

Sure Thurman took more punishment and even went down in the first round. But he rallied back and gained momentum in the second-half of the fight to make it a split decision on the judges scorecards. Through the first six rounds, it appeared Pacquiao would cruise to a unanimous decision; but he evidently began to fade.

Leaving his own loss to Pacquiao behind him, “The Problem” confirmed to FV that he is eyeing Ivan Redkach (23-4-1, 18KOs) as his next opponent; likely moving down from welterweight to super lightweight for the bout.

“I’m not about to keep fighting these big ass dudes man,” Broner told FV. “I’m a natural lightweight, and it’s time to fight at my weight class.”
