Dan Hooker Reacts to Conor McGregor’s Injury at UFC 264, Possible Return Date & Islam Makhachev
Watch as Dan “The Hangman” Hooker reacts to McGregor injury following UFC 264.
Following McGregor v. Poirier 2 at UFC 264, Fanatics View’s James lynch spoke to lightweight fighter Dan Hooker (20-10).
“A pretty wild way to end it”, Hooker said on McGregor’s broken leg ending the fight.
“That’s a dangerous game”, Hooker added on McGregor early kicks on Poirier. “That’s like a pretty dangerous way to approach the fight.”
Hooker spoke on McGregor’s timeline for return and potential bounce back fight in UFC.
“That’s up to him”, he told Lynch. “It’s entirely up to him, it’s a fairly straightforward injury to recover from. For me, I think they’ll do [Nate] Diaz. That fight’s another one that kind of has to happen. I think that’s a good fight to get him back on track”, he finished.
In addition, Hooker expressed his interest in fighting #5 ranked UFC fighter Islam Makhachev.
“It’ll be good to see him step into a main event and see what he can do. I know he’s like just behind me in the rankings. That’s another fight there. He gets the job done, and he says my name, then that’s something that me, the fighter in me is hard for me to go past. You sell that fight, and we can make it happen.”
