Danny Garcia responds to Timothy Bradley: ‘He’s a Top Rank Puppet.’
Danny Garcia fired back at Timothy Bradley following his criticism of PBC welterweights.
Danny Garcia wanted to set the record straight after Timothy Bradley called out welterweights under Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions. “Desert Storm” went on to to call heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder “the only real man at PBC.”
Though he called on the PBC welterweights to stop ducking WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford.
“(You) guys need to put your big boy pants on, and come over and make this fight with Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford,” said Bradley. “Because he’s the best welterweight in the world.”
Like Crawford, Bradley had fought under Bob Arum’s Top Rank. “Swift” couldn’t have been more puzzled upon hearing the criticism, and changed his view towards the two-division world champion.
“I used to like Tim Bradley, I don’t respect him no more though,” said Garcia. “He ain’t nothing but a Top Rank puppet, who fought Top Rank fighters his whole career. He never fought no one outside of TOP Rank. Since you so worried about it, come out of retirement; you a TOP Rank fighter. Fight Terence Crawford, it’ll be a easy fight to be made.”
Garcia felt Bradley’s remarks were contradictory, as he seemed to take the same route throughout his career. Though he also believes Bradley’s legacy as a fighter may have been better off going in that direction anyway.
“I feel the same way he feels about us,” said Garcia. “He should thank Manny Pacquiao for giving him three big paydays. Cause he can’t sell.”
