Gennady Golovkin refused to let Oscar De La Hoya get to his head.

Gennady Golovkin had a strong showing against Steve Rolls by knocking him out within four rounds. “Triple G” is now in position for a third bout against Canelo Alvarez, the only fight he is after.

Golden Boy CEO Oscare De La Hoya, who promotes Alvarez, had a few words for Golovkin on Twitter following his victory.

“Nice comeback win. Now fight a real fighter, win a belt; and I’ll consider doing a third fight. #CaneloIsYourBoss.” De La Hoya tweeted.

Golovkin, however, was not about to engage in a war of words; or any mind games with “The Golden Boy.”

“I’m not thinking about what he said, Oscar,” said Golovkin. “Not really interested in what Oscar is doing, what Oscar is saying. Not really interested in that at all. I don’t really like following men. I’m not about following men at all. This is hype today, forget it.”
