Elvis Andrus on Being the Luka Doncic of Baseball, MLB The Show & Leadership Role in Texas
Fanatics View got to speak with Rangers star shortstop Elvis Andrus.
Elvis spoke on his Rangers team, and his leadership role in the clubhouse.
“We do a really good job playing for each other – being a brother here in the clubhouse and out there on the field. It’s paying off – we still have a lot of room to improve; we know we have a way better team then we have right now. We’ve been able to maintain the .500, but we know we can be better.”
In addition, Elvis spoke on being compared to Luka Doncic, the Mavericks’ young star shooting guard.
“The kid has some swag”, Elvis told Fanatics View. “He’s not the most athletic, but he can shoot the ball, and he’s all about scoring. I went to see a few games this year, and that kid can do it all.”
Finishing the interview, Elvis was asked about his character on MLB The Show.
“It’s crazy! Literally everything you do in the field, they do it in the video game. It’s pretty cool when you see the stuff you do, like the high-fives and jumping”, he finished.
