LSU Quarterback Joe Burrow talks on adversity during LTU game.

On September 22, the LSU Tigers came back to Baton Rouge to face the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and, even though the history heavily favors the Tigers, the Bulldogs put up strong fight.

After LSU dominated the first half, 24-7, second half looked like an entirely different game. In the second half, the Bulldogs scored the majority of their points. LSU junior quarterback Joe Burrow summed up a flaw LSU has had this season.

“It seems like we always start strong and finish strong,” Burrow said. “We need to figure out how to keep our foot on the gas.”

LSU’s quarterback added that he was not disappointed in his team’s performance, overall. He was encouraged to see his teammates “man up”  and play at a high level after they realized they could possibly lose the lead.

There are some factors that might be preventing the Tigers from being able to play at their full potential. Chemistry is a huge factor. With a new quarterback, new starting running back and some changes on the offensive line it can be difficult to gel well in short amount of time.

The Tigers are an extremely talented football team that is capable of making a run at the College Football Playoffs, but have to improve on their level of consistency. The game against Miami displayed that they are capable of winning with some ease against top-tier opponents.

This game against the Bulldogs showed that they are also capable of losing game if they do not play like it zero to zero every down.
