Tom Herman says Texas Will Surprise Most at the Tight End Position in 2018
Texas head coach Tom Herman says that Texas will surprise most at the tight end position in 2018 at Big 12 Media Day in Frisco, Texas.
After a down year for UT tight ends last season head coach Tom Herman is optimistic about the crop of talent he has at the position now. With two quarterbacks still trying to prove themselves on a national stage the tight end position is crucial and must produce in order for Texas’ offense to be dominant.
Senior Andrew Beck is the projected starter. Cade Brewer and Reese Leitao will back him up. Hopefully these three can produce for the Longhorns, because the tight end position has a rich history in Austin. Bo Scraife, Jermichael Finley and Geoff Swain are just a few NFL tight ends that Texas has produced in past years.
